ACADEMY CATHEDRAL TO HOST GOSPEL COMPETITION

The academy Cathedral Music Department and Men's Ministry are scehduling auditions for "Raise the Praise", a gospel group and choir competition to take place this winter.

Auditions will take place on October 15, 2011, at Academy Hall - 3208 W. 85th Street in Inglewood, CA @ 10:00AM.

Choirs have the option to audition live or submit a CD or DVD. Groups must audition live. Groups must have at least 3 members.

A total of 5 groups and 5 choirs will be selected to participate in the finals with the winner receiving a trophy, cash and other prizes, and the title: "Southern California's Best Group/Choir". The winner in each category will receive an invitation to defend their title in 2012.

Participants will be judges by a panel of celebrity guests and industry professionals.
